Perm Rod Set II

Products used (for this set I used mainly grey rods) the bigger the rod the looser the curl. Pink spray bottle contains water, if you are using a water based product be mindful, the more product used the longer the hair will take to set. If possible avoid drenching hair. When I first started doing perm rod I would fail to achieve the desired  result because I did not have the time or did not allow it to dry properly.



Part hair in medium to small sections apply products, Twist hair around the rod starting at the end where the elastic is attached. I Left my hair to set over night, you can also use a blow dryer to speed up the process. For the take down add a small amount of oil to the hands ,gentle pull rod downwards.

 

After removing rods.Gentle separate ,to avoid frizz, oil hands and twist in opposite direction to unravel

Results 

Practice makes perfect, I have had many failed perm rod sets. Keep trying if the first couple of times you do not get your desired look, also you can use whatever product you have. As you can see from my picture the crown of my head was a bit frizz as my hair is most dense there and as such it does not absorb product as quickly or set as quickly as the back or front of my hair which is longer and lighter. Also have fun with it I often do fro hawks or a puff when my set is a little more worn. I hope you found this information helpful until next time.
