10 Uses of ALOE VERA
1. As a deep
Conditioner: I am not sure about anyone else, but growing up this is what my
mother used for years to "steam" my hair. It can be used on its own
or with your own mixture of deep conditioner or other natural ingredients such
as honey, castor oil and so on. Tip: wear an old T-shirt as well as double cap your hair to keep
everything in.
2. Sun
relief: had a long day out in the sun? At the beach perhaps, slice the flesh
off the Aloe Vera,See all that green goo running? Massage that onto the skin,
let it cool for a few minutes, and then take a bath.
3. In
addition to helping with your sun burn, it can also be used on minor cuts, and bruises, as well as insect bites.
4. As a
shaving serum: Again it's smooth and soothing texture makes it the perfect
beauty aid.
5. Makeup
removal: Similarly to oil, Aloe Vera will help to strip away make up,
making the removal process that much easier.
6. Moisturize and
seal: What's in my spray bottle you may ask . Water and Aloe Vera gel. If you read my transitioning
post you’ll know that Aloe Vera and aloe vera gel were both used to help my
hair retain moisture,
7. As a face
mask: similarly to honey, Aloe Vera has antibacterial properties so just
leave it sitting on your face, it may itch a little.
8. For dry
and cracked skin: Give your hands and feet a soothing bath by immersing
them in a basin of Aloe Vera.
9. Detox: Aloe vera and orange juice can do wonders.it can be blended or you can choose to let the fleshy part of the plant sit in orange juice for about half an hour, stay close to a bathroom to be on the safe side.
10. No more sanitizers:
Keep in mind those antibacterial properties we mentioned earlier.
Funny story I remember
being about ten years old and being addicted to sucking my finger. As a child
aloe vera and cerasee were the devil. The punishment for children who would not
stop sucking their finger was to rub it in aloe vera or cerasee. Can anyone
relate to that struggle? I surely suffered this punishment many times. You can also find aloe vera
in the gel or juice form, but I strongly believe that if you can get the plant is is your best option. Your treatments and skin care will be much
more effective. However the gel and the juice do have their pros. Once you've
cut or scrape the plant, even when refrigerated, it will not last for more than
a few days. Therefore if you are not using it all at once the gel and or the
juice may be the best option for you. Until next week.....
