Summer Adventures

Hello once again.A lot has happened in this past week for one I turned 25.Where has the years gone? This is why it is so import to savor everyday time is truly speeding by.This week I had a small gathering for my birthday with a few close friends. I had an amazing night at Cru Bar and I also had the opportunity to go on a trip with my employer to Chukka Good Hope.
I had a blast, I did not want to leave the rooftop beauty that is Cru bar,The service, the ambiance and the company was amazing. This was my third visit and it surely will not be my last.Recommendation if you are going in a large gathering do reserve a table especially if you are going there on the weekend.

Summer Trend : Braids

Hi there hope you are all well. This year is definitely the summer of braids. I have been seeing the Alisha keys back in the days styles popping up everywhere. I decided to try them out myself and let me just tell you I am in love.

For this style I used a pack and a half of Xpression Braid. The style took about 3 and a 1/2 hours. Definitely a shorter time frame that your standard box braid or Senegalese twist. My only concern at this point is how long the style will last. I am aiming for three weeks. This in my opinion heavily depends on your hair type.Given that my hair is quite light I may not make it to the three weeks but fingers cross.

Natural Hair Chronicles :Post Protective Style

It's coming to the end of the road for those dope braids. what is the  next step? Glad you asked, today we will look at  post protective style hair care.It is extremely important to give your hair a good cleanse after taking down a hair style. This is definitely one time I would recommend shampooing your hair several times to ensure product build up and dirt is completely removed from the hair.

Detangle, Another extremely important step. This is possibly one of the hardest and most annoying parts. I usually do this strep when i apply my conditioner. This is where the hair is most manageable. It is however extremely important to do as soon as possible. Not properly combing through the hair, may cause more tangles.

Sheet Mask Review

Skin care is one of my major priority there is nothing that I love more than clear ,healthy skin.As a result, I try a few things every now and then. For one I have been using natural products on my skin. For the last year or so as many of you may know, Majority of my skin care is DIY or products that are all natural,Such as African black soap and Shea butter. My toners and rinse-able mask are all home made.
Today I want to share with you a recent favorite of mine Korean Sheet Mask. I have been fascinated with sheet mask before trying.I love the fact they come in such a wide variety, I also love the fact that you simply put it on for up to 30 minutes ( some brands say 15 minutes is good) and go.I have been doing the sheet mask once a week for the past 4 weeks, generally on a Sunday night or Monday morning. my weekly skin prep so far my favorites have been the aloe vera and honey, so excited to try the milk and collagen. I will also do another one I have finished my first batch which contains about twelve mask.Until next time.

OOTD: Neutrals

I hope you are well, today I decided to share my mother's day look,Very neutral and simple. Lately that has been my go to, lighter, simply looks.I have been doing quite the opposite with my hair.It  has grown tremendously. As well as I have learn how to handle it.It already super hot here in Jamaica. Therefore  i'll be throwing it in another  protective style very soon. This year will definitely be one for protective styles,so many cute looks to try out. While minimizing manipulating my hair, definitely a win win in my book. That's all for now so until next time.
