A few things I've learnt from my mom

Firstly I want to wish all the amazing moms out there a very happy mother's day.Make every effort to show your mom just how much you love her,a simple card, doing the chores the day, cleaning the house. In light of mother's day I just wanted to share a few things I have learnt from  my mom.

To put others first:
My mother epitomizes the term a servants heart, she is the most giving person I know. She has shown me time and time again that you can make a difference where you are and with what you have. You don't have to have it all to be kind or be humble or smile. You never know how A simply gesture can make someones day.

The value of hard work

She is definitely the hardest working person I know,My mother literally gets up at 5 every morning , recently she had an injury and I had to assume the chores , lets just say I'm still alive, surprisingly. Often times we do not realize the amount and importance of the little chores around the house ,until we have to do them ourselves.

Go after what I want
My mother is also my biggest cheerleader,I remember being younger and getting awards and my mom use to show them to everyone that visits. She has always supported my decision and assisted me in what ever way possible. As well as encouraged me in difficult times. Though we often but heads ,because we are so similar. I try my best to communicate appreciation for the many things she has done and continue to do for me. It's easy to get caught up in life and forget  to appreciate the people that have assisted us along the way ,but today take sometime out to acknowledge the women that have assisted ,inspired and encourage you along the way.

Thought of the week
Do what you love.
Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do you.
