7 Mile Beach

Summer 17 is finally here, last weekend we ventured to the west. Jamaica is such a gem and my favorite hobby is exploring every nook and cranny. Negril is known for its 7-mile tranquil beach and its breathtaking sunset. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind its the perfect destination. There is nowhere else on the island where the water is as calm and welcoming.Soothing is the word that comes to mind when I think of Negril.With verying option for accommodation, food, and entertainment you are guaranteed to find something to suits your pocket and lifestyle.

 Here are the highlights from my weekend.

Rio Nuevo Village St. Mary

Today I had the absolute pleasure of exploring Rio Nuevo Village.The property holds a museum, lust beautiful gardens, a pool, and access to the nearby beach and river. It was quite refreshing discovering a new spot, especially one so beautiful and culturally sound. I enjoy learning about the history of my people as well as relaxing under a palm tree in the cool coastal breeze also seeing the peacock parade around the property was a delight. It is located in tower isles a few minutes away from Ocho Rios. The property is quite large which makes it an excellent spot for group excursions. The museum makes it an excellent destination for school trips or educating the younger ones.

Primark Staten Island

For some time now I have been stalking Primark's Instagram, prior to keeping up on IG I would binge watch Primark hauls on Youtube. I do consider myself to be a bargain shopper and Primark just seems to be the ultimate place for a girl like me.

In April I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Primark Staten Island Mall.The store was huge firstly, everything was nicely layed out.They had an amazing variety of items.I purchased homeware, work clothing as well as casual clothing and shoes. I know that Primark is generally bashed for its quality but in my experience, their pieces usually hold up. The Best part, however, was the amount I paid compared to the number and type of items that I received. All in all, i enjoyed the experience and I will definitely be visiting other Primark Locations.

Creating Excellence

I created this space to reflect the things that I love and share what I know. I cannot believe it's been almost three years since I have been doing this. I took a small break to refocus and work on ways of improving. Thank you for al who have supported thus far and welcome to all.

2016 The Year In Review

2016 was really a defining year for me, I turned twenty five and with that came a sense of disappointment. Where I thought I would at this age is not where I am. However, this was being viewed from a sixteen year old niketa perspective. Sixteen year old Nikki certainly was not thinking of how these goals would have been attained. Despite that hurdle I can honestly say that I am proud of the leaps and bounds I have made this year. At the beginning of 2016 I set 10 goals and I have accomplished 9. Not perfect but a far cry from my regular modus operandi. Today I will share with you some of the life.

Happy Planner

This time of year is generally a time of reflection and refocusing. This is the time when many of us reflect on the year that is coming to an end and plan what we want for the year to come. I am a firm believer that things worth having seldom come by chance, so I ensure that I decide what I want to do and strive to make time to get it done. One way I achieve this is making a note of my things.

Ethnic wear

 One item  that I will definitely be purchasing more of in 2016 is Ethnic printed pieces.Dashiki's are a long time favorite of mine.I believe that there is nothing more beautiful that a woman in her native dress I follow a few Arab and middle eastern women for this very reason . I love seeing them in their traditional dress. Today I am just sharing a simple outfit I also want to quickly point out that I am so in love with my hair.I am so thankful for where I am in my hair journey,will provide and update soon.Until that time do enjoy the rest of 2016.

Best Food In Kingston

Restaurant week 2016 is upon and what better time to share my favorite places to have a meal.One of many things Jamaica is known for is its superb cuisine.So lets get right to it sharing a few of the places I love to dine.

M10 Bar and Grill

This is definitely one of my favorite places. I believe that this is also a very versatile spot. I took my niece here for her 16th birthday dinner. I've been here with friends for a girls night out as well as on other occasions and every time I've been I have always left highly satisfied, with the food, with the service, with the ambiance. All in all a  great place to eat. An outdoor setting with a different menu every night you are guaranteed to find something you love and lastly very reasonable price point.

South Avenue Grill

Undoubtedly one of favorite places to eat. I have never been disappointed here, I think this is the ideal date night venue.Beautiful garden outdoor setting. Amazing food and service and the menu has something for everyone's taste. The perfect setting for a great relaxed evening.

Wata Land

My most recent post featured a list of budget friendly places to visit in Jamaica as well as a few websites/pages that offer additional discounts.Today I am sharing with you a very recent trip  to Wata Land. I also want to mention that I used a gustazos, which was about half the regular entrance cost.
